Why Acu-Current Therapy Works?
Most pain conditions are caused by tight muscles, restrictions in related joints and posture imbalance.
Acu-Current Therapy treatments loosen tightness/adhesion in the fascia and acupuncture channels to release restrictions in joint motion; a process which increases local circulation, stimulates endorphin release and relieves pain.
How Acu-Current Therapy Works?
Acu-Current Therapy treatment sessions involve a combination of micro-current electricity, new acupuncture points (in the fascia around muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints), myofascial acupressure stretches, and stretch positions for the patient.
This is accompanied by patient self/home-care instructions and activities after/between treatment sessions.
How Acu-Current Therapy Was Developed
The Acu-Current method was developed by Dr. Malvin Finkelstein over his 40-year career as an acupuncturist and oriental medicine doctor.
It synthesizes techniques and theory drawn from acupuncture and Oriental medicine; acupressure methods including shiatsu, tuina; qigong; the bodywork of Lauren Berry, PT; osteopathy; and microcurrent electrical treatment.
